Every tap warms the card by one language — and costs you points.

How it works

  1. A word arrives in your weakest language. Not your strongest — the one that's fading.
  2. Don't know it? Tap. The same word appears one language closer to home. Tap again, one rung nearer.
  3. Verify when you're ready. Three words in your own language, one correct. The fewer taps you took, the more it's worth.

Seeing uccello, oiseau, r Vogel, bird stacked on one card is how multilingual people actually learn. The comparison is the lesson.

German always comes with its article — r, e or s — because a German noun learned without its gender is learned wrong.

Six languages

Pick your native language and up to five to study, ranked by how well you know each. The ranking decides everything: which language a word appears in first, and what colour it wears.

What it won't do

No hearts. No lives. No energy that runs out.

Mistakes are free and unlimited — a wrong answer is a scheduling signal, not a currency.

Your streak runs on one short daily quiz that is free forever, so getting back onto a streak never costs money.

We will never tell you your streak is in danger in order to sell you something.

Five minutes, once a day

300 words across ten topics, in all six languages, working entirely offline. Spaced repetition tracks every word in every language separately, because knowing bird in English says nothing about knowing it in Italian.
